Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to predictions of weather conditions – clouds and rain.

Music for Observations is a music series that pairs unusual electronic music with the Jewett Observatory’s open viewings of the night sky. This year’s event titled Music for Observations REMIXED will take place on October 18. The music will begin at 9pm and happen outside on the surrounding hill. Electronic musician Jason E Anderson will perform on his homebuilt Serge modular synthesizer and new equipment from the forthcoming Synth Lab, an electronic music studio coming to the WSU Libraries in January. Guest artists from the Digital Audio Collective will join him in performance, alongside live visuals by Eliseo Ortiz, DTC Assistant Professor.

The event is free, all-ages and open to the public. Presented by the Digital Audio Collective, the WSU Libraries, the The Physics and Astronomy Club, and the WSU Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Bring a blanket and dress warmly! Public restrooms are currently not available on the premises. Events are subject to cancellation based on weather and air quality, see Jewett Observatory webpage for details.

Made possible by the Digital Audio Collective, a WSU Registered Student Organization, funded by the Student Technology Fee
